@dakotadorn12 what is not working exactly, can you provide more details? Does it not show up in controller tools at all? Which controller is it?

I have the same request...
8BitDo SN30Pro in X-Input mode is not showing up in the ControllerTools Controllers list, however, when the controller is in D-Input mode it does show up but without battery level indicator.
When the controller is in Switch mode, battery indicator is present.

I also have SN30Pro +, SN30Pro and 8BitDo SN30 controllers if further tests are needed.
I am currently using version 1.0.0 from Stable channel.

Side note: In desktop mode, none of the 8bitDo modes are showing battery levels in bluetooth config.
Stadia controller is showing battery levels in both Desktop Mode and Game Mode

@wholee, thanks for the additional info. Could you join the Decky Loader discord, and find us in the Controller Tools Support forum?

We'll need your help to understand the behavior you're seeing.

I have this issue while using 8bitdo ultimate bluetooth controller, bluetooth mode.

It shows 5% battery status but my controller is full charge, also checked the status while connected to a switch that it is indeed fully charged but on decky loader plug in it is 5% and showing a notification that it is below 5% battery

Hey there,

I just connected my 8bitdo Pro 2 to my Steam Deck last night and noticed that it won't show up at all either in Controller Tools.

I thought it was because XBox controllers weren't detectable, but it seems that was updated this last year so I figured 8bitdo controllers (at least in xinput mode) would be detected now.

Would love this feature for my SN30 Pro2

I have looked into this while trying to get back the plugin working with Decky v3. In XInput mode for SN30 Pro, there is not available battery indicator due to the controller not reporting it and the reason why the controller doesn't show up is because the plugin thinks it is a Microsoft controller based on the vendor ID.

I can make it show up on the Controller Tools frontend, but it will be useless in XInput mode.
