vsdx beta export

We had a question asking why vsdx export is still beta after so long and whether it will ever be marked as production.

Second part is no. The longer answer is that draw.io is not a replacement product for Visio and it's not intended to be.

They happen to largely perform the same task, but each has functionality that the other does not. Additionally, the data models differ and there are certain representations in vsdx that are impossible to represent with 100% fidelity in draw.io.

This means that if you intend to round-trip between vsdx and draw.io you are going to lose information as soon as the diagram passes a certain level of complexity.

The quality of the import as a one-off operation is generally very good. The quality of the export as a one-off operation is generally good.
