This works well, but I'm getting an error from xarray when I use a static file in which the dimensions (nominal coordinates) are called lon and lat, which creates a clash between dimension and variable names. Things work just fine when I rename the dimensions to xh and yh. Is there something I am doing wrong here (I can't imagine I'm the first to run into this)? If this is indeed a bug, presumably an easy fix to just name lon and lat within cmip_basins to something different, and something that is unlikely to be used for nominal coordinate names.
