Your environment

TbSync version: 4.11
Thunderbird version: 128.2.3 Windows 64 bit

Expected behavior

Some kind of clearly labeled UI for category manager. My expectation may be the only thing that's not right, actually.

Actual behavior

TbSync account manager shows a tab "Category Manager" including the text " . . . you can install . . . " with a link to .../categorymanager.

Steps to reproduce

Sorry to be vague here, but I

  • installed TbSync
  • installed the Google provider
  • installed Category Manager

Hopefully, this is just an answerable question, and it's easily open & shut. I have TbSync, google provider, and Category Manager installed, and I have been satisfied, but I'm not sure if there's something missing, here. The google contacts sync seems to be working perfectly well, with the normal google contact groups, as far as I can tell.

With all these parts installed, should I be seeing some other UI for relating contacts into multiple overlapping categories? Or is it just a matter of more sophisticated logic on the back end, during synchronization, which may already be working well between the google contacts and labels there, such that it fully understands the relationship between the categories known to Category manager, labels in google contacts, and so on?
