This is mostly an idea to be elaborated in detail, but API data are Californian time based, which is -7/-8 from the UK.
By using fresh live data (data state property) people might think to get details in their current time zone, but this might not be the case and a "gap" can exist depending on the time zone of the requestor.
I believe that returning a state message would suffice, but perhaps a better solution can be found within the community.
