The new Salt DS Figma libraries will result in all legacy Salt libraries being retired. Currently responsive layout grids are handled by a separate Figma library, however, in the new libraries it has been possible to include as a set of variables.

The new solution is far more efficient than the old library and is fully responsive to the screen size and density set by a designer in Figma.

However, the new variable-based solution is not as intuitive as it requires a small amount of prep. Because of this a short Figma guide needs to be written to help support designers.

Once written, the guide can be added to the internal Salt site.
