when accessing a photo directly, the "x" control in the upper left corner does not work #386

Observed behaviour:
Opened this image directly (i.e., not by clicking a photo on the main map, but by accessing the link to the pic directly). Clicked on the "x" control in the upper left corner. Nothing happened.

Expected behaviour: The street view picture closes and the main map of the area appears. (Alternatively, there should be no "x" control in the upper left corner, but it would be better to be able to come back to the main map by clicking it.)

Reproducibility: every time

Workarounds: access the map by editing the URL and navigating to the area in question.

I believe that close button is just functioning as a back arrow, on my computer clicking the x makes it come back to this github issue as that was the last navigation this browser tab did
