As mentioned in multiple posts the manner of adoption of camera's to Unifi Protect seems to change over time. I want to add some 3rd party camera's to Unifi protect (version 2.10.11) on my UDM Pro (version 3.2.9) but here is no way to do this. The "add camera" button has been removed a long time ago, but also the URL https://{NVR ip}/proxy/protect/api/cameras/manage-payload as mentioned in issue #328 seems no longer to be working. |

I wonder if the UDM Pro doesn't support that URL. It works fine on my UNVR-PRO. You do need to make sure to login first with your browser, or you'll get: {"error":{"code":401,"message":"Unauthorized"}} Once logged in, when I go to https://192.168.19.7/proxy/protect/api/cameras/manage-payload I get: {"wifi":{"ssid":null,"password":null},"mgmt":{"protocol":"wss","hosts":["192.168.19.7:7442"],"token":"eajp3Y42Php7LjTsP71EbbDYZ3TRShoY"}} |

I found the answer, your remark about logging in got me thinking of the adoption process. As Unifi is more and more cloud oriented, they want you to log in using a UI account to get stuff added. So in stead of logging in with a LOCAL account (even though it hass full permissions) you need to log in using your CLOUD account, then open the URL mentioned before (https://{NVR ip}/proxy/protect/api/cameras/manage-payload) and the adoption token will be displayed. Thanks for your help! |
