var jCalData = ICAL.parse(someICalData);
var comp = new ICAL.Component(jCalData[1]);

But it does not work on my system. On the otherside test/acceptance/utc_negative_zero_test.js contains:

    var result = ICAL.parse(icsData);
    var component = new ICAL.Component(result);

and this does work. So the wiki shall be updated to state ICAL.Component(jCalData) without [1].
