NPM package not working

Currently, when following your documentation, I get the following error:

import GPX from 'gpx-parser-builder';
^^^^^^

SyntaxError: Cannot use import statement outside a module

In particular this line is troublesome:
import GPX from 'gpx-parser-builder';

I installed your package via NPM.

Please advice 🙏
