It would be really nice to optionally use TTS to read the current time and/or alarm label after one or more plays of the alarm tone.
Example:
Settings
Alarm labeled "Wake Up"
Time set to "7:00 AM"
Sleep set to "10 minutes"
Read time is set on
Read label is set on
TTS delay is set to 1 play
Effect
Alarm tone plays once
Alarm label is read aloud
The current time is read aloud: "seven A M"
The alarm tone continues playback as usual
The user hits snooze
10 minutes elapses and the alarm workflow starts again
Alarm tone plays once
Alarm label is read aloud
The current time is read aloud: "seven ten A M"
Repeat as needed
A good first pass implementation might just be to read the time after a fixed number of tone plays. As a reference, the Samsung clock app only reads the current time after one play of the alarm tone.
I will happily help you test this feature.
PS: do you have a preferred way to reference "alarm tone plays"? That feels really clunky to me.
