what I did so far which MIGHT be the way to go. It looks like we have to manually create a vcenter user named csi. Also, we must type CSI there, the options won't pop up itself after the options. But I do not know if vshpere csi driver has used this csi user somewhere in the code or not. I will post later for further testing result. At least for now, I passed this blocker. |

reference VMware vSphere Container Storage Plug-in\Preparing for Installation of vSphere Container Storage Plug-in, When I try to sign CNS-DATASTORE role to one of my datastore, I do not see "vsphere.local\CSI User/Group. First, I change to Storage view > highlight the datastore which I will use as persistent volume for my K8s cluster > click Permissions tab > click ADD > Domain: vsphere.local; User/Group are empty, nothing shows when click the options; Role: I can pick CNS-DATASTORE. I have already finished "vSphere Container Storage Plug-in Deployment" Everything looks fine. I can see CSINode, pods in ns vmware-system-csi all running. daemonsets all ready. kubectl describe csidrivers shows good.
