Jockeys and question about the data scientist task

Someone tried to hire me as a jockey to do this task (of course I rejected it immediately after knowing), so I think I should give a heads up about it so that guy who tried to hire a jockey wont pass. Also, am I, an outsider, also allowed to try to submit my model? I feel like it's going to be a waste if I just delete the code I have been working with for the past day.
