This is very cool, but I wonder why there is no extension for Firefox? Has this technical or other reasons? Would there be a way to get it done?
(Did not find this Q in the FAQ (BTW the link from the README to the FAQs file is broken))

The CheerpJ Applet Runner extension is based on Manifest V3, we have detailed the reason for this choice in a post from last yer: https://medium.com/leaningtech/the-bottomless-pit-of-disappointment-a-chrome-extension-tale-21e5cf84da0

Firefox has just yesterday announced that there will be support for Manifest v3, but it is to be seen what is the level of compatibility. Historically there has been API inconsistencies that would have required some work to get around.

It is, as many things are, a matter of engineering priorities. In our experience most people requiring the extension are Chrome or Edge users. As a small company we need to prioritize our effort, and currently a Firefox extension does not fit in such priorities.

I'll keep the issue open, so that you'll be notified if in the future we'll manage to support Firefox as well.
