Is there an existing issue for this?

  • This is a bug in RetroArch frontend
  • I have searched the existing issues

Description

The mouse will only move so far in any direction. This is bad for playing certain DOS games and FPS games.

This same mouse use case was working on Android for me.

Seems very similar to #3408

Expected behavior

The mouse continues to move smoothly no matter how far you move it, instead of hitting a virtual wall.

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Load up Doom in DOS.
  2. Set controls in Setup to Mouse + Keyboard.
  3. Use mouse for aiming, note that only a small window of movement is possible.

@JamesIV4 Thank you for the investigation.

Will it possible to update the title with your finding something like Mouse axis is limited on (SteamOS/Linux) if "Fullscreen Windowed mode" is enabled ?

Thank you.
