Suggestion - search bar behaviour

Current release after hitting search keeps entered search request, so you have to erase it first before entering another. That’s a bother.
On the other hand if you need to modify request just a bit re-entering it from scratch is a bother.
Can we have a setting that governs that behaviour - ether keeps the request or clears it.

Created a PR for auto selection of text in search bar on click. This seems to save time/effort and allows for adding to entered search if desired.
