Pushover different sound for up/down #1953
Comments
I would also like to add onto this, Pushover added custom sounds in 2021 (source)and I would love to see the ability to use them here. |

Came here looking for the same. Sometimes I get jolted awake by a notification when in reality it's just a host coming back online. Would be so nice to be able to set a calm sound for this "good" event vs. the "bad" ones. |
I support this idea. However, if #508 is implemented we can make 2 Pushover alerts, one for up one for down, and use the existing features to set different sounds. |
Ran into this issue as well for hosting coming back online with a "negative" sound rather than a resolving sound. Adding #5426 for the option to select and up/down sound for consideration! |

🔖 Feature description
I use Pushover to get push notifications on my phone. At the moment uptime-kuma lets to select a one of the built in pushover notification sound which is used for both up and down alerts. I’d like to be able to set a sound for down (eg. siren) and another for up (eg. bugle).
✔️ Solution
I’d like to see two options in the Pushover notification sound settings. One for monitor down and another for monitor up.
In my example I’d set the siren notification sound for a down monitor. I’d know something has gone wrong when the siren sounds. But when the monitor is back up I’d get the bugle sound so I’d know the service the monitor is checking is back up.
