This seems unnecessary. Is there a reason?

Github is terrible and only provides repo oauth scope that gives:

https://developer.github.com/apps/building-oauth-apps/understanding-scopes-for-oauth-apps/#available-scopes

Grants read/write access to code, commit statuses, invitations, collaborators, adding team memberships, and deployment statuses for public and private repositories and organizations.

I'd love a better solution!
