Gamecube Controllers are buggy as hell

I have friends who use the Gamecube Controller adapter, and face a multitude of issues with Smash Ultimate. One friend was unable to dash, another friend had a semi-inverted C-Stick, the list goes on. I feel as though a possible solution for this would be to add an option to emulate a Gamecube controller if that's at all possible. Otherwise, I hope there is another potential solution to these issues.
