As discussed in the context of #574 , OpenPMD support for the alignment of LDOS vectors is currently missing. Once we implement this, it would be useful to also realize the storage of alignment metadata (currently saved as .json file) within the OpenPMD data.

Since this is not used in published models at the moment, I think the feature completeness of openPMD w.r.t. this feature is not relevant to releasing v1.3.0 of the code.
