Stop funktion still does not work!

I'm using this node extensively and after the update to the latest version 1.4.2, I can not stop the timer anymore.
I tried the workaround with adding a topic control with a payload of cancel, but the I'm not getting the false output I need further on the flow.
I'm also running node red in a hassio environment, so I can not downgrade the version of the node (at least I have no idea how to do this.)
