Turning mouse scroll wheel together with either CTRL or SHIFT keys always zooms out the horizontal and vertical scale, respectively, regardless of which direction the wheel rotates. Using Logitech M510 mouse on Windows 10 Pro machine.

But it doesn't reproduce with Ubuntu 20.04
