My env: AirPods3, windows notebook (windows 11 23H2), macbook (macos 12.6.9).

When I use macbook with my airpods 80% of volume is enough while conversation with my colleagues.
But on windows platform even 100% of volume is very quiet. Like a 50% of macbook volume.

Also i tested another audio conversation tools, like Telegram, Skype - all of those have normal volume level. Same as on macbook.
I double checked all windows sound mixers. It is not cause of low Mattermost voice volume level.

Could you help me to adjust Mattermost voice volume level? Thank you!

From the application side we are not doing anything to the input volume so whatever comes from the operating system is what we use. For anything more advanced like controlling the gain we'd have to wait for something like #126 or similar setting.

Any progress on the volume slider?

@streamer45 if its something thats not planned for the foreseeable future I can possibly pay to have it implemented sooner depending on the price.

@dillfrescott It's on my ideal roadmap for the first half of next year but likely not very soon. That said, this is an open source repository and contributions are welcome so if you can sponsor some developer to help with this work that would be great but it's something you would have to figure out yourself. From our side we are happy to guide any developer looking to contribute.
