How to: Mavo <-> Php or NodeJs <-> SQL ?

Hi

Depending on a html dropdown selector, I would like mavo to

1. make a request to server.
2. server would then make a request to SQL,
3. and would return data to mavo

Does anybody have some exemple of mavo requesting data to a SQL server, throught a server side executed page (php or node.js) ?

• I saw the couchDB plugin, but it reveals how to access directly to Database server .. and that's not what I need
• I saw the PHP plugin, I was not able to pass data to mavo
• And last but not least, I saw server side rendering of mavo

I tried to use some php code from https://www.w3schools.com/js/js_json_php.asp but was not able to make it work with mavo

So if someone have some experience (or a working exemple) with it, help is welcome
