this code line in regex_redirects.middleware.RedirectFallbackMiddleware line 39

  if response.status_code != 404:
        return response  # No need to check for a redirect for non-404 responses

Can we open pr and have setting to allow redirect exiting url as below? Thought?

if !settings.ALLOW_REDIRECT_EXISTING_URL and response.status_code != 404:
      return response
