possibility for String Attribut in accesscontrol code

We want to query access rights with a form.
For this, the groups are written as a string parameter into a template: 
<accesscontrol>{{{Group}}}</accesscontrol>

The problem is that when you save the template, an error is reported.
I suspect, Improved Access Control does not support Stings and noted that a 
group can not have special characters like "{".

Do you know an answer for my problem?
