"Next" and "Previous" buttons do not always work in Harness 3.0.2

In the new harness (3.0.2), with headless: false mode, the Previous button does not appear at first:

When we click on Next, the Previous button now appears. It works, but after clicking it twice to go two pages back, the page is blank and no buttons are visible.

In the old harness (2.4.1), the buttons appear and work as expected.
