A new feature in kube-state-metrics that allows the generation of metrics for custom resources and the integration of that in core CAPI has made the present cluster-api-state-metrics project obsolete.

We thank all maintainers & contributors (@seanschneeweiss @tobiasgiese @mehyedes) for their awesome work and especially @chrischdi for starting this as a whole ❤️.
