In theory we have a wide choice of JavaScript dialects to choose from.

In practice the choice of web framework etc may constrain this. Note Vue is implemented in TypeScript which might make TypeScript a more natural choice.

Pick a dialect e.g:

  • ECMA2016
  • TypeScript
  • Something else

Pick a style e.g:

  • Standard (nope!)
  • Prettier
  • Bespoke eslint config
  • Something else

5 minutes of playing with it makes me favour prettier.

Prettier's front page makes it look like Black, which I'd be wary of, but it looks a good deal more open to alternative opinions - see https://prettier.io/docs/en/options.html
