#148 is a first solution for plugin management in python.
This plugin management is a homebrew approach.

Suggestion to check whether pluggy ( https://pluggy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ ) could be a good replacement.

If pluggy is suitable and as soon as pluggy is understood and learned replacing should be possible with a reasonably small effort
