I'd like to use node.js to run jsawk instead of spidermonkey

I'd like this, too :). If you can modify the js to work in node I'd be happy to merge your fork. Otherwise I'm looking into it, but I have a few things on the list before I get to that.

I can have a look at this since I'm after the same thing. I fear the reliance on the window object and associated behaviour might make it tricky though.

Ok, I've got a very sketchy version of this running now. Once I've verified that everything is working the same, I'll clean it up for release.

I'll try and have a look at recent node and jsawk releases over the next week, see if those have made the combination less sketchy.
