I would like to make a suggestion for the Dock behavior.
It would be interesting that by pressing the left mouse button for a long time the window would be minimized.
By pressing the mouse for a longer time still all the application windows would be minimized.
I think it's more intuitive than "Shift + Click".
An additional option would be: hovering over the application displays the list of windows or a preview, as it does with Windows or other distros.

Coming from Unity, a long left mouse triggers move/organize mode. It also works on KDE, Windows. We shouldn't vary from this standard without good reason.
Long presses are also terrible UX design for common operations. Users never want to have to wait to execute their commands, Either a "Shift + Click" or smart (minimize if 1 window, app Exposé if multiple) is a better solution.
The devs are working on hovering to show a preview. See issue #400, #144, and #216 I'm also looking forward to this feature.
