I can confirm the old FZF plugin no longer works. A bug report on the repo referenced states that the author of that plugin no longer uses micro and is not interested in making bug fixes. They would accept a PR, but might as well turn the maintenance over to someone who still uses micro.

The plugin was archived and @giangm9 fork was deleted, I believe that the fzf plugin should be removed as it is no longer maintained.

On a related note I'm working to revive Paleterro and Filemanager. Their maintainers have been unresponsive for years. Would it be better to PR here with a -plus suffix to their name or to replace the originals?

@texastoland, a while ago I created a fork as filemanager2, but there is no defined standard to use, whether to put 2 or -plus or keep the same name, maybe it's worth opening a discussion about this in the micro repository.

Wow great! My plan was to merge PRs and clean up too. I'll try using yours as my base instead.

I'll do that since Palettero is almost ready 🙏🏼

I just started using the fzf plugin and really like it. It would be a shame to remove it unless its actively causing significant churn for maintainers. That doesn't seem to be the case based on a quick search of the issues in the main editor repo, the updated plugins repo that holds the source code, and this repo.

Another option would be to reference an actively maintained implementation such as https://github.com/MuratovAS/micro-fzfinder
