Is this issue for tracking support for Windows 10? I'm on 22H2 19045.4170 still. I had to install the Windows SDK 20348, and I can compile and run the code with the NuGet package from the releases (I also ran the installer which gave me the Midi Settings app which appears to work, I see the session created).

However, I don't hear any sound when I request the note to play with the sample C# code, but I didn't do anything to install the driver. I see this MIDI 2 devices here though:

I was going to try the test notes, but maybe that doesn't work for loop back only? I don't see any options in the dropdowns of the settings app here:

This will go to Windows 10 servicing, but the date for that has not yet been set. ACX support is not in Windows 10 yet as far as I know. ACX is required only for the USB MIDI 2.0 driver, though, not for your GS Synth scenario.

The troubleshooting page in the settings app is not coded up yet. Most folks are using the command-line midi.exe tool so I only recently started getting back to the settings app.
