How does the ingestion process work?

When I start the project, I notice in the azure.yml file that there is a script running an ingestion command, ./scripts/prepdocs.sh. After I upload documents to the 'documents' container in my storage account, it appears that the ingestion process is triggered. and I wonder which specific code is executing during this ingestion process when a file is uploaded to the storage account?
