First boot?

Get access to a virtual or native display to make basic initial configurations.

Resize SD user data partition

The user data partition is separated from the rest of the system and it is setup as 256mb when you install the image of OpenDSP into your sdcard.

To make use of your large sampler library, dj set music files and GBs of videos, you may want to extend the size of your user data partition to take the rest of sdcard empty space.

If you have a 32gb sdcard, for example, the user data partition will be resized near to 29gb in size(3GB are for OpenDSP operational system).

  • Click on OpenDSP Menu > Manage > Tools > Resize Sdcard
  • Follow the instructions that will appear on a terminal window
  • When finished it will asks you for system restart
  • Next boot you are ready to use your resized user data partition

Change default password

You have a tool to change all the OpenDSP services passwords at once for Virtual Display VNC, SSH/SFTP Access, Samba File Share

  • Click on OpenDSP Menu > Manage > Tools > Change Password
  • Follow the instructions that will appear on a terminal window
  • You are done!

Audio

The newer onboard soundcard of raspberry can deals with low latency nicely if you follow some steps.

We do encourage you to invest on a external soundcard for better and professional results, from Hifiberrys to Behringer UCA202 you got a plenty of cheap but good soundcards to use avaliable on the market.
