Shape optimization with polarized rendering

Polarized Rendering with Mitsuba

I tried to use polarized render on mitsuba shape optimization by using the codes below:

Hi @jmpp21

The error messages are just generic messages from Jupyter. Depending on your setup, it can completely silence the underyling errors in stderr.
Can you run your code as a simple python script .py rather than a jupyter notebook? That should give your the full error message.

Finally, if your intention is to follow this tutorial, you should know that none of the integrators that are appropriate for shape optimizations currently support polarization.
