The Problem

The comment "This post is no longer being maintained." added once a newer snapshot has been released might be a bit confusing.

Possible Solution

Change the wording to something like:

This post is no longer being updated because a new Minecraft version has been released.

Where the text "new Minecraft version has been released" would link to the new bug tracker report (if that is possible).
