Why was a list chosen for the WILLSKEY store? The main thing I notice is that device are duplicated in the will list, and I'm wondering if there was some reason for this decision that I'm not aware of.

I didn't create this package so I dunno the main reason behind this choice, would you try to submit a PR to fix this issue?
