Your idea

Very related to #18775.
I propose to implement a feature in MuseScore Studio in which the middle player's part could be moved between the staffs in the following options:

  1. Between the systems. Depending on which part has the most intricate notation, the middle player's part can move to a different staff in each system (where appropriate). Example:
    Снимок экрана (808)
  2. Inside the system. This approach is appropriate only if the part is changed to an instrument with a separate transposition. Example:
    Снимок экрана (809)

At the same time, the player numbers for the corresponding staffs for each system should be changed automatically.
The determination of the most convenient staff for the player's notation should also occur automatically in each system.

Problem to be solved

This will save vertical space, especially in cases where the notation of two players with an inconvenient musical texture on the same staff can significantly increase the distance to adjacent staffs.
At the moment, all these operations can be done manually, but these are workarounds that take time and require many adjustments. For example, to specify that the following system should not have "Picc. 1, 2" but "Picc. 1", you need to add the text of the instrument change, then hide this text, then change the name of the staff after the text. And you also need to add hidden grace notes if there are tied notes between the systems. All this is very inconvenient.

Additional context

So far, I have no idea how this can be determined automatically. For example, @LupusCaeruleus suggests adjusting such things manually. Maybe that's how it will be, at least for the time being.
