No Sound

I am new to this library. I tried to use it in a C# console application like this but cannot hear any sound. I am using

<PackageReference Include="NAudio" Version="2.2.1" />
<TargetFramework>net7.0-windows</TargetFramework>

I have verified I can play the file in Windows Media Player. Code:

using(var reader = new AudioFileReader(audioFile))        
        using(var outputDevice = new WaveOutEvent())
        {
            outputDevice.Init(reader);            
            outputDevice.Play();      
      Thread.Sleep(10000);
        }

There is no runtime error but no sound either.

I found the issue. In my case I am also using SpeechSynthesizer simultaneously. If I don't use SpeechSynthesizer I can hear the sound. So how can I use NAudio to play a sound in the background while I am using SpeechSynthesizer for text to speech?
