More of a question: Could the "make test" depend on "make"? At the moment you have to "make" and then "make test" otherwise there is no code to run on the first go.

Reasons:

  • I'm lazy
  • one could forget to "make" and repeatedly run outdated code
  • that could have been the way the GNU-Makefile was working

If that's difficult to do, please close. But it might be simple. Right?
