It looks like packer can't SSH into the VM once it has booted:

Well I am not sure if it has something to do with the box as I am connecting to ssh just fine with it.

But I don't use Atlas in any ways.

Do you have an idea why it is happening. I can't see any relevant piece of information from the link you gave. I just see "an error occurred"

Anyhow all I did is to regenerate with the provided make tasks but if you prefer I can revert my commit.

I didn't get to test it on my local machine yet. Maybe there is a difference in how the ISO is booting up?

I have just had a similar issue with ssh.

Upgrading packer to 1.0 fixes the problem for me.

For the record it is now failing with packer-1.1.x but works fine with packer-1.0.x.
