Button actions broken after compiling with Xcode

Hi,

I tried out version 3 alpha today and upon returning to the latest release (2.2.0) I can no longer assign actions to any buttons. I get an error when trying to assign Primary or Secondary click, but the app doesn't respond to the scroll wheel or either side button at all. The only working feature is smooth scrolling.

I'm running macOS 12.3.1 on an M1 MacBook with a Logitech mouse and keyboard. I'm almost at the point where I might reinstall macOS because I can't live without this app.

Here is what I've tried so far:

• Restarting
• Force quitting app and helper from Activity Monitor
• Quitting G Hub and Karabiner
• Deleting Application Support files
• Stopping and deleting the Xcode project
• Clearing Xcode Derived Data
• Disabling and deleting the helper from Privacy preferences (which completely locks up the mouse and keyboard, have to force restart)
• Uninstalling using AppCleaner

Building "Version 2.2.1 Alpha 2 (7001)" using Xcode seemed to fix the problem. Super weird that the release version doesn't work for me anymore, but I'm glad to have something. All I can suggest is adding an uninstall script, since it seemed to be an issue with multiple versions being installed that persisted beyond deleting the app itself.
