POX includes its own version of pydoc, which is surely way out of date now. Especially as part of the Python 3 port, it should be updated.

Just a note that, IIRC, the main POX-specific feature it has is that it can list events that a given class raises.

Instead of upgrading it, another possibility is just removing it. The main pox documentation is now generated by Sphinx. I don't think we currently are, but we could start using Sphinx to autogenerate reference documentation too. In which case, we might want to extend Sphinx to list events...
