Would the way the maps were handled be a worthwhile subject for a blog post? Anything else of particular note w/ how this project came together?

We could talk about the maps/the map data/performance. That's the main thing I can think of. Dan, anything else?

I think that makes sense. Using leaflet is not new, per say, but I was frankly surprised that it remained performative after all this time. And its free, as is the use of the ESRI basemap. All things that we could highlight.

I think it's also useful to talk about the scroll behavior on the maps--as Ruth and I were discussing, it's a lot harder to build an interactive like this that's layered where it can be scrubbed both forward and backward. Figuring out how to build those transformations onto a stateful map in a way that they don't accidentally leave bits and pieces behind if the scroll jumps or reverses is not immediately intuitive, I think it's valuable to talk about.
