Bonjour,

As the title suggests, I'm having trouble with the graphics overlay on Mac OS X 10.5.8. I'm running XQuartz 2.6.3 (xorg-server 1.10.3) with Advene-1.0.1.

I've downloaded the Nosferatu package. In it, there is a track named "test_svg" where SVG gfx have been added but they don't appear on top of the video.

Can you help?

Merci

Hi. Could you send (either via this issue or via a private email) the advene logfile, after trying to display the svg track? It is available through the Help/Display logfile menuitem (then copy/paste), or Help/Open logfile folder to find the advene.log file and attach it. It would help to pinpoint the issue.

The logfile indicates that it correctly finds the rsvgoverlay plugin. Have you activated the SVG overlay dynamic view? The mere presence of a SVG type does not imply that it will be displayed over the video. There could be a number of visualisation possibilities, its overlay being one of them. Just above the video player is a combo box where you can select dynamic views, from those defined in the package. In the Nosferatu package, you have for instance "Display nightmarish triangles" which will overlay the annotations of type "Nightmarish triangles".

Here is a screen capture of a Nosferatu "Nightmarish triangles"
annotation.
We can see them in the inspector but not on the video display.

Indeed, this should work. I have to get access to some Mac to investigate this, will report back asap (which may be in some weeks - "Summertime, and the living is easy...")
