Render links in daily note events

I would like links in inline events in the daily note to render in the calendar, e.g. if I want to link to a meeting note from the daily note. Something like this:

• [[Meeting with Jerry]] [startTime:: 14:00]

This works fine within the daily note itself, but the link doesn't render in the calendar.

It would be nice to be able to simply click on the calendar event in the calendar and open up the respective note.
