Somehow the install has caused all DNS queries to fail.

My resolv.conf file is empty.

This is there a more detail log file than the terminal output to help debug?

We have stopped testing local install mode a few years ago, so it's mostly abandoned legacy feature, but perhaps there are just a few simple switches/fixes to add to make it work again. Since the feature is not officially dropped, it's a bug.

I was forced in to using local install because there are hardcoded areas in the install scripts for public that do a 'whatismyip' lookup for the IP address of the server. This makes the public install difficult to use on a private network exposed to the public through reverse proxies. That is what forced my hand into using local install.

I'll open the ticket for public.

We may need to revisit this feature after all.
