Inspired by colorgoserver.com, I experimented with a more contiguous score estimator display on OGS. I think for beginners this might make more intuitive sense than the little squares currently deployed, especially if we rounded the corners of the area and found a better solution for contrast on the black stones.
Just fooling around, thought I'd share in case this was interesting!

Incidentally I think shading the score estimate on each turn of a game could be a good way to generate animated gifs of the games to share on social media. Especially for beginners, I think it would look more interesting and less intimidating to have big fighting blobs of color rather than hundreds of separate dots.
